Welcome to Whisker Foundation

At Whisker Foundation, every whisker matters. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue based in Everett, Washington, serving cats and communities across the Puget Sound region. Our work focuses on rescuing vulnerable cats, supporting their recovery, and helping them transition into safe, loving homes.

Education is a core part of our mission. Through responsible rescue practices, community outreach, and trusted cat care resources, we aim to support both cats and the people who care for them—creating better outcomes for cats at every stage of life.

Our Mission and Commitment: Rescue. Rehabilitate. Rehome.

Every year, countless cats enter shelters or face unsafe conditions, and far too many never get the chance they deserve. Whisker Foundation exists to intervene when cats are most vulnerable—rescuing them from overcrowded shelters, unsafe environments, and emergency situations.

From frightened strays to medically fragile cats, we provide the medical care, nourishment, patience, and stability each cat needs to heal and thrive. We believe every cat’s life has value, and we are committed to giving them the second chance they deserve.

How We Help Cats Thrive

Spaying and neutering is one of the most effective ways to protect cats and reduce the cycle of homelessness. Unaltered cats can reproduce quickly, leading to more kittens than available homes and placing strain on shelters, rescues, and veterinary resources. They are also more likely to face health risks and stress-related behaviors.

Each year, countless kittens are born without a safe place to go. Spay and neuter helps prevent unwanted litters, protects cats’ health, and ensures more cats can find safe, stable homes.

This is how Whisker Foundation puts that commitment into action:

Every cat adopted through Whisker Foundation is spayed or neutered before going home, helping prevent overpopulation and supporting long-term health.

Each cat receives essential care prior to adoption, including age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, deworming, and one month of flea prevention.

Your support helps cover these lifesaving services and allows us to rescue, protect, and care for more cats in need.
